## What increases the cost of a Greenhouse?

Premium greenhouses are priced higher due to premium raw materials, North American-made manufacturing, and improved performance. Here's some insight into how our system is structured:

### Customization

Every choice that deviates from a standard configuration, including custom sidewall height, alternate door placement, a unique footprint, decorative ridge cresting, or a vestibule entry, requires additional design and fabrication time. The more your greenhouse is tailored to you, the more it will feel like a part of your home.

### Glazing and Framing

The glazing you choose has a major impact on both price and growing performance. Standard 3mm overlap glass is a proven, affordable option and easier to DIY install. Premium 6mm single pane tempered glass gives you a cleaner, conservatory-style finish with fewer joints. Insulated 16mm double-pane glass creates a genuine thermal barrier for year-round growing. High-performance Low-E glass goes further still to create an optimum growing environment by reducing harmful infrared transmission.

Greenhouse framing matters just as much. Heavier aluminum profiles, structural purlins, and trusses aren't aesthetic choices; they're genuine indicators of longevity and structural performance. Our frame bars are 50 to 60 percent heavier than most competitors and can withstand the extreme weather conditions.

### Climate Systems

Automated ventilation, heating, and cooling systems add complexity and cost. For anyone planning to grow year-round, they almost always pay for themselves over the long term. We'll help you calculate the right setup for your climate, your glazing, and what you want to grow based on your location.

### Shipping and Logistics

Larger greenhouses simply cost more to ship, and some require freight equipment for offloading. We quote shipping individually per project because we do not roll costs into a "free shipping" promise. You always know exactly what you're paying for and why.

### Engineering and Permits

Some projects require stamped engineering drawings for local permit approval. Not all manufacturers offer this. Discovering that gap after you've purchased is a costly and frustrating surprise. We provide PE/P. Eng stamped drawings for every U.S. state and Canadian province. We always recommend confirming permit requirements early in your planning.
