Every choice that deviates from a standard configuration, including custom sidewall height, alternate door placement, a unique footprint, decorative ridge cresting, or a vestibule entry, requires additional design and fabrication time. The more your greenhouse is tailored to you, the more it will feel like a part of your home.
Glazing and Framing
The glazing you choose has a major impact on both price and growing performance. Standard 3mm overlap glass is a proven, affordable option and easier to DIY install. Premium 6mm single pane tempered glass gives you a cleaner, conservatory-style finish with fewer joints. Insulated 16mm double-pane glass creates a genuine thermal barrier for year-round growing. High-performance Low-E glass goes further still to create an optimum growing environment by reducing harmful infrared transmission.
Greenhouse framing matters just as much. Heavier aluminum profiles, structural purlins, and trusses aren't aesthetic choices; they're genuine indicators of longevity and structural performance.
